Hey!
I know I was supposed to upload photos of my Taiwan trip but I was too tired the week I got home. And following that, I had to start working at a new environment. And the camera was being a bitch; it couldn't connect to the PC. So I'll just roughly write a review about my trip.
Day One:
Our flight was at 12.55 am and from Singapore to Taiwan was about 4 hours flight. We touched down around 5 am and got settled around 7 am as the arrival check in had a very long queue; not too sure why? As we went during the non-peak period. Got our luggage and all.
So there was a mishap when we took a bus down to Taipei. The lady who sold our ticket told us to take the bus till *I'm not too sure where the location is (well, because I couldn't speak mandarin)*; then take the MRT there. So, when the bus arrived, the bus driver told us that he will inform us when to alight and we need to take the other bus to Ximen. And so we arrived at the unknown location and he told us to wait for the other bus. And we waited and waited and there wasn't any bus coming. So when the company store open we asked the lady there and she said that we had to wait till 12 pm and that "particular bus the bus driver said" will come.
She said if we couldn't wait we could board the bus there was other option that is to take the public transport there Bus 49. AND SHE COULDN'T EVEN GIVE US THE RIGHT DIRECTIONS! We had to ask another Taiwanese there where is the fucking bus stop there! This all happen at 8 in the morning. So all this shit ended and we reach XIMEN. FINALLY~ So we put our luggage at the hostel and went to have breakfast.
After we rested and all, we went around the area to shop and when night falls we went to Wufenpu night market. Wufenpu is like Bugis Street. It has a lot of clothes there and it wasn't that cheap either going for NTD$500 that would be roughly at SGD$20? I mean Bugis street would be cheaper. So we didn't buy much there. I bought one studded denim shirt which cost NTD$380 (SGD$15) and a CHEAP maxi skirt at NTD$250 (SGD$10).
Then we had sushi for dinner where it cost NTD$35 (SGD$1.50) each! SO CHEAP AND ITS ALL SO SEAFOOD IS FRESH! I LIKE!
Day Two:
We went to the Tamsui. Took a ferry to the LOVE BRIDGE were they say people goes there to take wedding photos or to write LOVE NOTES on the fence. So we started to camwhore! LOL! And left the place and we went to the RED HOUSE.
Its a museum where I think British came down to Taiwan and the history goes on~ And more photos (but i couldn't upload as like I said camera being a bitch now).
After the museum, we went to walk around Tamsui beach area and had seafood for dinner. BBQ SQUID! HEAVEN! We both are SOTONG (squid) CRAZY! and had sweet potato with syrup!
And when night came we went to Jiantan. While we were in the train we met with this HK people. And I could understand Cantonese/ Hokkien at all, Lynn heard they were talking about me. They we saying about the shirt I'm wearing or something. I was wearing a Union Jack shirt so I think they were being like a UJ fan or something.
Bought a couple of things there at Jiantan, like TOMS look a like which is selling at NTD$390 (SGD$16) and a few accesories and souvenirs, facial mask (which was a steal!)
This is the END of part ONE!
